These photos are backwards a bit....we ended up having a WHITE three weeks up in Portland, it was so white that our city sorta kinda shut down....but that didn't stop us with 4WD to get around town..in fact that was the only time we were proud of our gas guzzling car ;-) Starbucks down the street from us made a killing as everyone we knew would walk there every morning to enjoy a warm treat while our cars were held to house arrest until people could get chains for their tires.
This holiday was full of surprises....all flights were canceled into Portland the week of Xmas so we didn't think anyone was coming up to visit us, which put my 10 lb Prime Rib on hold. Fortunately, after some hours of delay... Babcia Ewa and Uncle Adam made it...and we consumed one of my best creations yet...okay a little bragging...thanks to long distance calling to family in Sacramento to confirm if what I was doing with the Prime Rib was correct, this was my first time.....
Grandpa Peter joined us the day after Xmas for some post holiday celebration so the kids had three days of xmas.....lucky ducks.
